Exploring the Project
You may have questions as to what can be done? Or is this possible? How much will this cost? These are great questions and they are exactly how most of our jobs start. We have heard these questions and many more multiple times in the past. Just like we've done with previous clients we'll be able to help explain and answer these questions so you have as much information as possible.

Project Design
Whether you're building a new house or doing a bathroom remodel there will be some level of design involved. We will discuss options and talk about the scope of work and budget to decided the best path to take in our design process. This is where you will decide something like if you want to spend $8,000 or $50,000 on kitchen cabinets. Both are options and that is why the design phase is so important. With out it there is no way to truly have an accurate quote for the work. If there's a need for architectural plans, there's no need to worry. We have a team of design professionals that we have worked with throughout the years.

Pricing
Armed with our project scope and design we can now start working on pricing. We will take all of our details from our design notes and plans to develop you a proposal. These details will be sent out to our subcontractors and suppliers for pricing. Once we have all of our pricing back we will put everything together in a proposal. The proposal will be itemized so you will be able to see exactly where the money is going. We believe that transparency is very important in the construction process because at the end of the day we want to deliver you the best product possible and keep it with in your budget. As an added bonus we also offer multiple monthly payment options for our projects.

Permitting
This may not be the most fun part of the process but it is an important one. We will work with the towns and municipalities to ensure that we have all of the proper paper work and permitting required for your project.

Home Additions
Feeling like you need a little more space in your home but you don't feel like selling your house and moving? It's time to start thinking about adding some square footage to your home with an addition. Thinking about an addition can be an overwhelming task. There's so much that goes into the process of designing, budgeting, permitting and picking a contractor. At Chaiss Construction we recommend you start the process by picking a contractor. Your contractor should be someone that you get along with but more importantly you trust. This is someone that is going to be apart of your day to day life for at least a couple of months but could be much longer depending on the size of your project. We recommend picking a contractor first because your contractor will be able to advise you on preliminary budget, which will help keep the design on track. Theres nothing worse then over designing your addition only to find out that your design doesn't match what your budget is. Not only is this a let down but its also a waste of time. Your contractor will also be able to take care of all of the permitting required for your project. We believe that the goal of the contractor is to make the construction process as enjoyable as possible all while delivering a well built product.
Basement finishing
Similar to a home addition, basement finishing is also a great way to add square footage to your house. It doesn't matter if you have a basement from the late 1800's with a fieldstone foundation or you have a brand new basement with clean concrete walls from this year, both can be finished into beautiful spaces. Basement finishing are some of our most enjoyable projects. We enjoy working through all of the hurdles when it comes to designing a basement. You have to take into account all of the mechanicals and electrical equipment that most people have in their basements. Basements are also a great place for a home gym, a bar room or even a movie theater space and come on who wouldn't love to have a hand in creating any of those things for a client!? Basements can also be used for more practical reasons such as a playroom, a home office or even an extra bedroom. All in all finishing your basement is a great way to maximize all of the usable space that you have in your home.
Kitchen Renovations
Talk about a project that will completely change your day to day life! We've found over the years that kitchen renovations along with bathroom renovations are two of the most impactful projects you can do to your home. Think about it, when you're home where are your spending most of your time? The kitchen! Whether you're cooking, having a meal with your family or even just helping your kids out with their home work assignment the kitchen tends to be the place that everyone flocks to. Even when you have people over, everyone seems to stay in the kitchen as much as you may try to kick them out. There is a lot to consider when you decide to renovate your kitchen. We work with great kitchen designers that will walk you through all of your options as well as discuss the price range you would like to stay in. When it comes to the construction process you can still expect the same level of communication and commitment that you would get with any of our projects. We understand that having your kitchen out of commission is not ideal so we work with our clients to figure out the best time for scheduling the start of your project and try to get the necessities back up and running as soon as possible.
Bathroom renovations
Renovating your bathroom can be exciting but we have found one of the biggest hurdles our clients have is the inconvenience of having the bathroom out of commission. We've heard our clients loud and clear, Chaiss Construction now offers two different types of bathroom renovations. The first is a full gut bathroom renovation. This type of renovation is extensive, it usually requires relocating some of the plumbing and electrical to accommodate the new bathroom layout. These renovations tend to be very design driven, with lots of custom finishes such as double vanities, heated floors, walk in showers with body sprays, rain heads, steam units and custom glass enclosures. These projects can take weeks to months to complete as well as being pretty pricy and we know that is not always an option for our clients. That's why we have our second bathroom renovation option. This option was designed to give your existing bathroom a "facelift" without compromising any quality of work. These types of renovations tend to be more of a remove and replace, keeping all of the existing plumbing and electrical in place as well as keeping the existing drywall on the walls. We are proud to offer an alternative to tile for your tub or shower walls. We offer Fibo panels which come in a verity of designs and colors to make your bathroom look just as luxurious as a big custom renovation but in a much faster and cheaper option. The best part of this renovation option is that your tub or shower is usually only out of commission for no more than 2 days! This allows for this bathroom renovation to be a lot more practical for all of our clients.
custom carpentry and cabinetry
Sometimes all you need is a little extra storage in the mudroom or maybe a nice built in for the living room to spice it up. We offer custom carpentry, cabinetry and painting services. We will work with you through design to ensure that everything you are looking for is met and that everything that is designed will properly fit into your space.
